Flat, oval, eight-legged (six as larvae), reddish-brown, swelling to a gray bean shape when engorged. Range from a poppy seed to a pencil eraser.
On hosts, plus cracks, baseboards, kennels and yard edges. They climb upward, so they're often found high on walls.
- Ticks attached to pets, especially ears and between toes
- Ticks crawling on walls or hiding in cracks (brown dog tick)
- Engorged ticks dropping in the home or kennel
Ticks transmit Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and more to people and pets. The brown dog tick can infest an entire house, not just the yard.
Rhino treats the yard harborage and interior cracks where ticks hide and breed, coordinating with your vet's on-pet program. Covered by the Gold plan's flea & tick warranty.
